The Tulsa Two Spirits Society and The Two Spirit Society of Denver will be presenting the Tulsa Two Spirit Gathering 2006. The Gathering will be held in the Osage Hills State Park . Come be a part of the first Gathering of the season. The Tulsa Two Spirit Gathering is a drug and alcohol free event. No substance abuse will be tolerated.

The No-Talent Show:

Bring your talent, bring your drag, bring your voices, or your best act to the annual talent show. Mary Lou (Cherokee) will be giving up her crown to the next Ms. Osage Hills. Could it be you?

Traditional Feast:

Come and enjoy a traditional feast skillfully prepared by head cook Jay Armajo (Navajo/Arapaho). Jay was a student of Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Colorado.

 

    

Powwow 101:

Powwow etiquette is very important. So if you have any questions about Powwow or wanted to dance and don't know how, this is your chance to learn how from skilled dancers both Southern and Northern styles. Bring your questions and your regalia.

Sunrise Ceremony:

The Sunrise ceremony is a pipe ceremony that will begin at sunrise. It will be conducted by a traditional Elder.

 

    

Movie Nite:

Bring your favorite DVD for our annual Movie Nite.

 

    

Location:

The Gathering will be held in picturesque Osage Hills State Park. It is approximately one hour away from Tulsa International Airport. Lodging is cabin-style bunk beds. The Main Lodge has heated showers, kitchen, and a large meeting hall. Three meals a day plus snacks will be provided.
