I would like to say THANK YOU, to the Denver Two Spirit Society for showing me your openness, and your acceptingness of me. In my life experiences I've never came across such caring people. I hope to see you all later in the year. |

I'm sharing your sight with a young person that is courageously embracing herself as a "tranny". I am hoping that she will learn that she is a beautiful Two-Spirit and live her life to honor that she is sacred... I am blessed to have you all to help me help her through this procress.....p/s Hi joey and all.....love ma* |

I was just looking at your site since I get notifications regarding the Tulsa gathering. I cannot believe that no one has left a comment since Nov. of 2006. It is a good thing this site. It can help people stay connected, especially Two Spirit People. Down here in Florida there is only one other Two Spirit person that I know of for sure that is Native. We are friends and both walk a spiritual path to the best of our ability. We do ceremony as often as we can so that we can pray in a good way to the Creator of all things. We do not have much of problem with our community or at the Pow Wows and most everyone knows who we are. In fact I have been honored by being Head Man and in being asked to give the opening prayers or special prayers during those Pow Wows. I think that the Creator of all things will always give blessing when there is also a burden. As Two Spirit People we are the seers and healers and singers of songs and we give power to the warriors when they seek that. Some of those ancient ways are finding their way back. If my prayers are being heard and answered by the Creator of all things then Native people will soon stop trying to be like white people and act like them and follow their religions. It was all of those things that almost wiped us out in the first place. Why our People today would want to be apart of that is a mystery to me. Walk always in good health and happiness to all of my relations. |

It is so astonishing and also wonderful that we, Two-Spirits, are getting our well deserved recognition to be welcomed back into the circle of life. We once did hold a very significant and honorary role in our soceities. In this we have to chose to be who we were meant to be and to have our teachings once again heard. The Creator waited for the right time for our blossoming. |

I am from Az. and of the Navajo tribe and was recently told about this sight and I found it to be pretty interesting. I would like to become more familiar with this sight and other more. I wish you all the best and hope that our paths do cross here on the Navajo reservation.. I know here on this reservation, people like to discriminate and think that the gay lifestyle was never meant to be. I hope to see you here on the reservation soon, so they can see that it is okay to be gay....... dawn |

I identify as two spirited. This summer I attended a gathering where I was told once I arrived that womyn are to wear skirts. I, being biologically womyn but drawing on my masculin spirit self, spoke to the elder and requested I be exempt from having to wear a skirt, and this was granted. More recently, as we are approaching the Bear feast, I have been informed that a notice has circulated reminding people the womyn are to wear skirts at gatherings. What do other two spirited - biological womyn do in these situations? I do not wish to be disrespectful of tradition - yet I am feeling disrespected.
To All My Relations.
